I've Moved!

After three cool years at Blogger, I've decided to move to my own domain. This will allow me to have greater control over the layout, features and widgets, but more importantly allows me to maintain ownership of the copyright of my images.

The new site is at: www.telepathicstuntman.com

So head over and check it out! I will eventually be moving the contents of this entire site across.

Goosenecks State Park - Utah

Four miles off Utah Highway 261 near Mexican Hat, you can look into a 1,000-foot-deep chasm carved through the Pennsylvanian Hermosa Formation by the silt-laden San Juan River. The river meanders back and forth, flowing for more than five miles while progressing only one linear mile toward the Colorado River and Lake Powell.

Bursts of Color

More from the North Rim. The red flower is Long-Leaved Paintbrush and I believe the yellow one is Broom Snakeweed.

Saguaro Ridge

I FINALLY finished my latest painting, Saguaro Ridge! It's 2' X 4' acrylics and certainly not my strongest work, but I love the colors and extreme composition. Thanks very much to Bruce Vaughan for the original photo that provided the inspiration for this piece!

Spent the night on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon last night - crazy crazy high winds at Cape Final that nearly blew us off the edge!

The Last Gasp

The final images my beloved A80 shot before finally dying for good - some surprising beautiful abstracts! All of these images are untouched, except for resizing - like the century plant sending up a flower as it's last gasp, this camera went out in style.

RIP: Canon A80

Today I bid farewell to the greatest camera I have owned, the Canon A80. This camera has taken the majority of the shots on this blog. It accompanied me across the Grand Canyon, through Zion, touring England, Ireland, Germany, Chech Republic, Austria, Canada, Mexico and countless backpacking trips. It was a great little camera that served me well, but finally died at the Homebrew Biathalon.

Des Moines, Iowa: 10th Annual Homebrew Biathalon

Just a couple images from the fun beerfest in Iowa we held during the storms. The sound system for the gig was Roger's classic firetruck, tricked out with stadium speakers and ipod dock (note the bike rack on the back). Joe Jr. manned the gargantuan grill that fed us all... it was a beautiful event (wipes tear) thanks Tom!
